Miraculous London Special Episode
The special takes place during Season 5, during the events of “Re-creation”.[32] The title could refer to Activision’s 2011 video game Spider-Man: Edge of Time. The Spectral Looter’s design is reminiscent of the suits worn by the Ghostforce from the series of the same name, though the special doesn’t look like a crossover between the two shows. On April 17, 2021, it was announced via Licensing Russia that Miss Rose, a character from the upcoming titular TV series, would appear in this special.
However, as of 2024, it is not confirmed if she still plans to appear in this special after the initial announcement. A year before it was announced that Miss Rose was attached to the London special, Jeremy Zag hinted in an interview with Toys & Family Entertainment magazine that the TV series would be a “true sequel” to Miraculous Ladybug.[33] According to the Licensing Russia panel, the Miss Rose TV series will serve as a spin-off of the London special in 2021.[9]
However, as of 2023, a behind-the-scenes video from Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie has confirmed that a Miss Rose TV series is still in development. Thus, it is unknown if the TV series is still planned as a spin-off associated with Miraculous Ladybug or if plans were later changed to separate it from the franchise.[34] At the Annecy 2024 festival, a promotional flyer for ZAG Heroez’s upcoming show revealed that a show called Double Rose was in the works, which would mean that the concept had been reworked into this show.
