Miraculous Ladybug Season 1 Episode 4 Lady Wifi
While Marinette misses school again due to her overwhelming double-life, her best friend Alya thinks she has discovered that Chloe is the one hiding behind Ladybug’s Mask. Since Chloé cannot stand having Alya nose around her stuff, the former manages to get the latter expelled from high school. Outraged by this injustice, Alya gets akumatized by Hawk Moth. Now Lady Wifi and armed with her cellphone, she is determined to take revenge on Chloé by exposing her. But as she tries to gather evidence, she may well put Ladybug’s real secret identity at risk! Ladybug and Cat Noir will need to do everything in their power to stop Lady Wifi and to protect the superheroine’s secret identity!
Episode Transcript:
Miss Bustier: I’m very pleased with how you all did on your last task. Some of you have really stepped up and I appreciate that. Now it’s time to move on to our next task. (Alya sees Chloé and points to Miss Bustier. Miss Bustier looks at Alya.) Is Marinette still in the girls’ room?
Alya: Uh, I don’t know, miss. (The bell rings.)
Miss Bustier: Tonight I want you all to read the third chapter of Breathtaking France, The First Thousand Years. Then answer this simple questionnaire. (gives two Alyas) Make sure Marinette gets her homework.
Scene: Outside the classroom. Alya tries to call Marinette, but gets her voicemail instead.
Marinette: (recording) Here Marinette, leave a message. Beep! Hey him.
Scene: Bathroom. Alya is looking for Marinette.
Alya: Marinette?
Scene: Outside the classroom. Alya sees Rose and Juleka.
Alya: Uhh, have you seen Marinette anywhere? (Rose and Juleka shake their heads.)
(Alya walks into the dressing room, where she sees Chloé taking something from her locker. It’s a Ladybug and Yo-yo costume.)
Alya: (whispers) Ladybug Chloé?
Scene: Outside the school. Chloe gets into the limo, Alya follows.
Alya: Hi Marinette. Call me as soon as possible. We need to talk. (sees Nino) Nino, wait!
Nino: Yes?
Alya: Come with me, I need your help!
Nino: So– (Alya shuts him up)
(Alya tries to call Marinette again, but…)
Marinette: (recording) Here Marinette, leave a message. Beep! Hey him.
Alya: Ugh. I hate it when it’s PAID. He doesn’t call me back! Where is that girl?!
Nino: Really. My husband Adrien is exactly the same. But you must be cunning when Mr. Control Freak is your dad.
(phone rings)
Nadja: Ladybug and Cat Noir once again save Paris from the clutches of a menacing villain.
(Alya sees Ladybug’s yo-yo)
Alya: Hello! I think I just sniffed out who the real Ladybug is! (Nino whispers) Chloe.
Nino: (laughs) Chloe? Seriously? She’s too self-absorbed to think about anyone but herself, let alone save the world. You are crazy, lady!
Alya: Not that! You will see!
Scene: Paris. Ladybug jumps over the ceilings. He reaches the billboard and transforms into Marinette.
Tikki: Time flies when you’re saving the world. The day is over!
Marinette: Tell me about it. I missed half a day of school AND half a day of seeing Adrien!
Tikki: Whoever’s behind all of this is sure to keep us on our toes!
Marinette: (laughs) You have no toes!
(Marinette enters the bakery.)
Sabine: Alya brought your school bag home, Marinette.
Marinette: Hi Mom…
Sabine: You seem so forgetful these days. Maybe you just need some fresh air and some extra exercise for your growing brain!
Marinette: Good idea, Mom. I will start tomorrow. (Sabine kisses her.)
Scene: Marinette’s room. Marinette is doing her homework.
Marinette: Ladybug once again saves Paris from destruction, but who will save Marinette from her homework? (sees sticky note) What is it? “Call me. Do I know who the real Ladybug is”?
Tikki: No way! Do you think he knows?
Marinette: I doubt it. Alya always jumps to conclusions before she gets the facts straight.
Tikki: But just in case…
Marinette: No worries Tikki. I have it covered.
(Marinette tries to call Aly, but there is no signal.)
Marinette: Damn. No signal.
(She goes to the balcony to see if there’s a signal, but sees a man working on a cell tower.)
Civilian: Excuse me, miss. Cell tower maintenance. The whole neighborhood is down. No signal for another hour!
Tikki: Come on Marinette. Please try again later. Let’s go downstairs and finish our homework.
Scene: College. Chloé and Sabrina enter the school and some students follow her, including Aurora and Mireille.
Chloe: Hello! Hi! You look absolutely gorgeous! No, you don’t. Hey, it’s still a month until Halloween, you know?
Nino: You need to get your head examined. If she’s a superhero, I’m the Wizard of Oz.
Alya: I’m telling you, it’s Ladybug!
Nino: Can you prove it?
Scene: Marinette’s room. Marinette and Tikki wake up.
Tikki: Uh… what time is it?
Marinette: Uhh, school starts in… (checks phone) An hour ago?!
Scene: Dressing room. Alya is talking to Nino.
